This year for our 10 year anniversary I had strep throat so was a bit under the weather. I took all the ibuprofen I could to make it through. We ate Thai food (our favorite) and went to the Parade of Homes in Daybreak (another favorite thing of ours). Sorry Ryan, that I was so sick. The following evening I still was sick but didn't know it was strep until the following day but we went on to a surprise birthday party for one of Ryan's coworkers. It was a "Rock Band" party and the gift was to dress up as a rock star. We had been looking forward to this for weeks. Ryan went as Willie Nelson and I as Sheryl Crow. It was hilarious to see Ry dressed up since he won't even do that for Halloween. I guess we know what he will be for Halloween for years to come if the kids don't ruin the wig. That thing is great! It looks like it is blonde in the pictures but it is really gray. I actually used the thing to teach the kids how to clean the guest bathroom. Let me explain in a moment. The party was really fun even though I had a headache and couldn't swallow. We tried out the Rock Band video game. I tried singing a bunch of rock songs I barely know, played the drums, and the bass guitar. I did so bad. Ryan even tried the bass guitar and really enjoyed it. We'll have to try that again with songs we know.
About the wig, this week our first lesson on Monday morning was about how to clean bathrooms. I went upstairs to gather cleaning supplies when guess who appeared downstairs...the wicked witch. She taught those kids how to make that bathroom sparkle. Cackle, cackle. She had a captive audience. Ryan just informed me that tonight the kids were at his office cleaning the toilets (to earn money) and telling him that he needed to let the blue stuff sit in the toilet for 10 minutes. LOL So they did learn something from that wicked witch.
